DropAny is built to need as little of your data as possible. Your files are sent directly between your two devices and are never uploaded to or stored on our servers. This page explains exactly what does — and does not — happen to your data.
You don’t create an account, sign in, or give us a name, email or phone number to use DropAny. We don’t ask for personal information and we don’t build a profile of you. The only contact detail we ever hold is one you choose to send us yourself by email.
DropAny pairs your two devices with a one-time 6-digit code, then opens a direct, end-to-end encrypted (DTLS) WebRTC connection between them. Files travel device-to-device over that channel — they are never uploaded to, stored on, or readable by any server. The pairing service only relays the small connection-setup messages the two browsers need to find each other; it never sees the contents of what you transfer. The code is single-use and expires after about 10 minutes if no one joins.
To establish a peer-to-peer connection, the service necessarily processes basic network information such as IP addresses — this is how any internet connection works. If a direct connection can’t be made, your encrypted data may be relayed through a TURN server; it stays end-to-end encrypted in transit and the relay cannot read it. We don’t use this information to track or profile you, and we don’t sell it.
DropAny saves only your theme and language preference in your browser’s local storage, so the site remembers them on your next visit. This stays on your device and is never sent to us. DropAny sets no cookies.
DropAny runs no analytics, no third-party trackers and no advertising, and it sets no cookies. We don’t know who you are, and we’d like to keep it that way.

No. Files are transferred directly between your two devices over an encrypted peer-to-peer connection and are never uploaded to or stored on any server. Once a transfer ends, no copy remains online.
No. DropAny sets no cookies and runs no analytics or third-party tracking. The only thing kept locally is your theme and language preference, stored in your own browser and never sent to us.
No account and no email. Just open the page on both devices and pair them with the 6-digit code. We never ask for personal information.
Transfers use the browser’s WebRTC DataChannel, encrypted with DTLS by default. Files are encrypted on the sending device and decrypted only on the receiving device, so anyone in between — including any relay server — cannot read them.
